Well, I just pulled the trigger on the RK 47 capsule. I am going to combine this with the Scott Dorsey mod in my 435. Once I get it all done, I'll let you guys know what it sounds like, and hopefully post some audio samples. Should be interesting!

Will do! I am currently looking into whether or not the Dorsey circuit will play nice with the RK 47 capsule. Since the Dorsey mod lacks a de emphasis circuit, it should be OK with a 47 style capsule. Time will tell.

Also remember that single layer open mesh baskets do little to protect the capsule from dust and spit.

Stupid question here, but is the regular thin foam filter material a total no-go behind condenser baskets? If so, why (contaminant issues??)?
