Everyone wanting the MB and CL schem e-mail me @ broonsbane(at)comcast(dot)net. Just make sure to mention this and I'll see if I can get everything scanned this week. This is saying I can find the CL still. But I do have the MB.

opened up my avalon 747/737 , damn now thats some elegant

design.

It's not a chip, its an (undocumented) sub-assembley.

My guess is that it has to do with lin/log response of the opto part in order to linerarize it enough to enable stereo coupling..+

Hello,

the GRE stands for Gain Reduction Element and it consists of 2 LED's and 2 photocells. The LED's are connected in series (externally) and are current-controlled, hence the GRE is more precise.

i think that my CL1B GRE was broken. Can help me to find this model or another substitute?
