Conceptually, the right side of my console would be for DAW DA Bus re-mixing driven by (DAW) automation.
Question: Is it reasonable to calibrate the right side line level channels so they could be set at Unity and allow the DAW to run automation via the given Song bus assignments without signal degrading and noise level issues? It would seem to work if the DAW DA was at unity, feeding into line level summing which is also calibrated for unity. Wouldn't this concept, effectively 'automate' a vintage analog console on mix down? I know it's done, but via DAW automation with high quality success? Signal quality equal to tracking?
Cheers,
Billy
