It will be helpful, but I don't think it's what you want. You may want a bit more for transformer winding, in guitar mics the wire is so thin and the number of turns is so high that it's impossible to expect them to be tided, when you wind a transformer you need to precisely tide the turns so they are not overlapped or things like that, also you need multiple wires and change wires and keep the other coil connected if possible so you don't need to make splices, etc. A proper transformer winder will have some of those futures, there are some DIY projects out there, with a couple of motors and screws, with laser cut frame, there was one around here.
