Hi, guys! I'm rather new to this board, but I really LIKE it

OK... I'm going to build a SSL clone and I'm now collecting all info available. And I've got a question: those op amps (5532, 5534 etc) are available from different manufacturers (Philips, TI and others). Are they differ in something or it doesn't matter? I'm asking because the prices differ and the same model of one manufacturer may be cheaper then of another...

BTW, I'm gonna to use only high quality parts, and (in general) price doesn't matter

In general, these should be the same. But many people claim to hear a difference (I haven't experienced this, but then again, I last bought a batch of 5532/4's more than six years ago).

The current saying is that signetics/philips types sounds best.

But again - in the SSL-clone, opamp gains are not very high, leaving plenty of gain for correcting opamp problems by-feedback.

Thanx, Jakob! Really quick reply!

I got it that in SSL clone it really doesn't matter, but it can matter for future projects.
And the same question about caps. Any suggestions on manufacturers?
