Don't fall for these eBay capsules.

these capsules are still the same price on eBay as shown in the first post.

They are about double on Amazon:

Yes, they range from around 8$ US to 13 US on eBay.com. The more reliable vendors with higher feedback ratings tend to charge more for them. I purchased one at $9 and another at $12.

We know that Chinese stated specs cannot be trusted. Not the good ones for sure. But what about the mediocre ones? 😉

I suspect vendors are even more inclined to exaggerate specifications for cheaper models.

BTW - I strongly suspect that Chinese closely monitor this group. Anytime a capsule is mentioned here (no matter in good or bad way) is goes up in price on Ali.

Interesting surmise. I suspect they are merely responding to an increase in demand - which of course may be spurred by commentary in this and related forums - as well as other economic considerations. I have observed a general upward trend in many component prices, especially microphone parts including, but not limited to dynamic cartridges, condenser capsules, and even entire whole microphones, over the past year. The BM-800 sold for around $17 - $20 US 18 months ago. It fetches $25 -$35 US these days. I see a similar trend in other goods, such as low cost guitar strings. Strings selling for $3 US with free shipping 18 months ago are now selling for $6 plus $2 US postage. I predict it will continue to rise in the future for several reasons.

Just my take. I appreciate yours! James

Soooo... The frequency band is even narrower? 😉

I wasn't quite serious, you know.. 😃
I'm not always the usual somber, almost brooding, dead serious, straight-to-the point guy.

In the old groupdiy.com tradition, we should name the capsules after their discoverer. I suggest KB22!😎

Um ... when did Mr. KB first mention these capsules? I recall posting info and photos about them June 5, 2024 ... so maybe we could call them MM-22 capsules? Or JHR-22 capsules? Um ... any traction? . . . :)

The completely unauthorized groupdiy naming committee takes note of your objection and asks you to prove your statement with a link! ;)

Again, better prices "in" Germany than Poland 😉
Honestly, I still don't understand why customers from two neighboring countries in the same region get different prices? I live 34km from the Polish border, sometimes I ride my bike across the border...you get the impression that all the pricing on Aliexpress is a complete coincidence.

Edit:

Aliexpress is really special with the way they handle product prices. What annoys me the most is the presentation of bait prices. You know how it is, there's a super cheap price, then you realize that it's actually only for a part of the whole thing. Of course, search engines like Google also find this, you click on it and at some point you get the right price...very "nice".

Ahhh, I had to get that off my chest! 😁

That would be stupid. Where did you find that? I didn't see any reviews or buyer remarks. I pay attention to things like that and always check beforehand.
Even in the description, under the contents, it says that only the capsule comes.
There are a few other identical capsules, some even cheaper. Everyone says it's just the capsule.

Apparently, the Aliexpress system shows you other information under the same link. There is no indication of any kind in the German description that this comes without a capsule holder. There are also no reviews that describe this, in fact zero info regarding this issue.

But I would also survive if this capsule holder wasn't included, there are worse things... ;)

I read a review from a buyer who said he only received the capsule
That stopped me from ordering, I've had a few models in my cart for several days

A capsule holder would be good, I used it, slightly modified even for 34mm

It's area targeting. Like you have different prices in, say, Aldi (or other network), depending on the localisation. Even within one city.

Oh, yes! Maddening.
"It went down in price! Only 17, 50!"
and when you click it's 34,79.
Grrrrrrrrr

AGREED. Similar "click" -baiting occurs frequently on eBay. (bad pun intended)

Example: A search for a particular microphone produces a list of many items for sale. The listing title says "Desired Microphone" for a low price. Following the link to the actual item reveals they are selling the box it comes in for that price - the actual microphone is substantially more! This is an aggravating misrepresentation and colossal waste of time. Another example: A search for "Mambo Flashlight" produces a list of items - including one for $7 - so you take the bait, only to discover that is the cost of the battery, while the flashlight costs a lot more. One clue is if it shows a range of prices, such as $4- $14, so you know the item costs $14, while the cloth carrying bag costs $4. Unfortunately, not all listings include such clues.

I came across a particularly harsh example of this just today shopping on eBay for shoe insoles. In fact, you can buy the insoles for $9 - OR - you can buy a "2 cm cleaning cloth" for $4! Wow! Such a deal - a whopping $4 for a mere 2 cm square scrap of microfiber. And, yet, I suppose some people fall for it.

Yep, Mr. @rock soderstrom , -- you are spot on today. James
