Hi,

anyone has or knows where to get a couple of dual 18V power supply kits?
I can find plenty of boards etc but the pain is always the metal work, needs to be in a good enclosure.
also happy to purchase some pre-assembled.

thank you

Same here, I’ve got a load of PCBs and snapped up various transformers from eBay including a couple of nice ones from Canterbury Windings but I don’t have enclosures to house them in.

The UK just doesn’t have the manufacturing sector that it used to.

I’m waiting to see if Modushop has a summer sale this year and if so will stock up on a few Galaxy chassis.

I’m looking into getting front/rear panels made locally in UK machine shops but I suspect I’ll end up slinging CAD files over to Modushop and having them do the customisations.

One optimisation I can think of is maybe 3D printing a plastic base to mount toroidal transformers on - this could easily be adapted to different sizes of transormer and enclosure.

I’ve got an idea for a Euroboard-ish pcb layout that could work in a shoebox sort of enclosure or a 19” rackmount chassis - just haven’t got the time or resources for hobbies right now.

thank you everyone. I have started working with Cemal @ TAC Total Audio Control (also a member here) and he has got lots of knowledge and products available:
