Does anyone have a circuit for the crossovers for BM6A's (passive) and the enclosure dimensions? I'm thinking of building some. I've built NS10's with vifa's which everyone says sound just like genelecs, and I'd like to try making Dynaudio's. I think I can source the speakers so its worth a try.

don't know about the schems, but the dimensions should be on their website..
If you are going to try to build them, why not the BM15A. They sound much better.
If you go with BM6, you will definetely need a sub.. Trust me. I've used both quite a bit.

I have heard that the BM15's have slightly less accurate midrange than the 6's. In all the quest for better low end, accuracy in the mids are often overlooked. I suspect the 6's with an accurate sub might deliver better accuracy.

Yes I know they don't supply anymore but I just found out my friend knows the Dynaudio ppl and can get them for me.

The NS10's I made were originally made with the spare Yamaha speakers. We had box of them, a Producer would come in and complain that this tweeter is no good or whatever and we would replace them but there wasn't really anything wrong with them unless you were really thrashing them.

I tried the vifa's as an experiment and the tweeter was a bit hot so I put a big resistor on them to halve the output to match the Yamaha tweeters output. Everyone says that they sound just like NS10's except everythings much much clearer. It still has the small bottom end etc just like NS10's and this is due to the physical size of the boxes and it still has an identical NS10 crossover except that I've used polypropolean caps etc.

I've used both BM15 and BM6 and believe it or not. I was not looking for better low end. It just kind of happened that I had to use them both in a very short period of time. I've been using the BM15A for a while now and it is by far my first choice of nearfields. All my mixes translate much better than Genes, Mackys, and any other famous brands out there.... And I never noticed any problems with mid range.
Even thought the BM6 translate very well also. I really rather mix with nearfields with better low end response than to mix with subs.... But if you have a space restriction. The BM6 is probably the best for the size..

Hi Thomas !

you really can't just take a crossover from one design and add your drivers and expect it to work right.
