useful areas of experimentation would be stiff regulation of the screen tap in pentode vs none
and also running Schade feedback ie. in Rock's schematic from the plate of the EL84 to the plate of the 12AX7

Sorry for my upper case posts over time. AT 71 YRS my eye sight can't easily read lower case especially on my phone !
Triode connected power tubes
6L6 in my case seem to like 100 ohm resistor to tie to the plate and work well in studio front end builds. Some of my front end builds have been running reliably for decades.

I used a Sowter 9705 with a triode connected EL84
Transformer is 10k:600ohms but its usually feeding line level inputs .
I use various mic to grid step up transformers depending on what gain is required ,
I have a few Zutt 12a's which work great for that .
