Hi. New member.
I fond this post on a search. Thought I would start a new topic with the answer.

[Hi folks,
one of my holy grails starts to emit a high pitched whining noise. I opened up the box, no obvious errors, but I found out as soon as I touch the output connector tip (while the unit is on and plugged in) the noise goes away. Since I think I'm effectively grounding the output via a high capacitance, could I strap a bipolar cap there? Any hint or recommendations?
thanks!

I found the same thing and repaired it by putting a cap to ground from the output of the board prior to the bypass switch. My guess is that it is the clock signal from the DSP that bleeds thru.
Any old cap below 0.1 uFd and above about 350 pF will work.  I would guess they assumed that cable capacitance would substitute for this cap when they value engineered the pedal. If you are using short cables of course it wont.
I posted photos of this on the Steel Guitar Forum under Electronics.

Just thought this would be handy for anybody else experiencing this problem.
Cheers.
