Hello!  :)
I wanted to construct an instrument ESR-meter accurate .

Yes you would need some modifications to this scheme to work even better and more precise, or leave the same values?
Dal has a PCB for it?
Thank you very much!  ;)

A first question is what do you want to measure the ESR of?

Back in the '80s I added an impedance measuring capability inside my TS-1 using the output dropping resistor and a look up table to compare dB attenuation to resistance. This also allows impedance vs frequency measurements.

For one or two measurements you can cobble together a test rig with a signal generator, a VOM and so some math.

If you want to make a bench quality measurement device the complexity will increase.

Several years ago, I built one of these kits:

http://shop.anatekcorp.com/products/component-analyzers/blue-esr-kit/

I found it useful not only for verifying the quality of electrolytic capacitors, but also tracking down a shorted component connected from a power rail to ground (or another power rail).

Yes I wanted to construct an instrument Analog ESR not Digital...
I'll try to do this with Schema 2xLM324 so hopefully that will work nicely, too.
I found this for me is very useful ...

    THANK YOU

I've built an ESR meter based on PIC. It's quite useful and this particular meter allows to measure ESR without desoldering the components which is quite convenient.

I can dig out the links if anyone is interested.

I finished this ESR-meter and I am very pleased with how it works and how it detects capacitors. This is the schematics:

Thank you all!  :D

Is that Bob Parker's ESR meter? It's a very handy piece of gear to have around the workshop.

I haven't seen the Bob Parkers circuit. Maybe it has something in common. The meter I've built is designed by Russian designer. This particular meter is quite popular within the folks who repair radios and TVs. I've found the schematic on one of our local forums. I've attached the schemo.

OK, not the same one then. This is the Bob Parker one:

I notice that this one is based on a Zilog microcontroller. There might have been an updated one using a PIC doing the same job.

The kit I built (and linked in an earlier message):

...is a Bob Parker design.  I've been quite happy with it.

Yeah, I know that kit. I've researched quite a bit of meters and setteled on the one pictured in the attachement.
