few question about the G9

hmm I think you are right

I tried to connect the G9 to a line in on a Ramsa Da7 mixer and then the noise disappeared but I thought that the Da7 "covered" the grounding problem on the G9 - because I can use a Da7 preamp (send via an insert) with the RME konverter without any problems?

This is how the noise comming off my G9 sounds like!! The noise increases when I add gain on the G9

But one thing I don't understand - if it's something with my RME converters that just do not work with my G9 why can I use other preamps with the RME with no noise problems??

Without proper grounding, things are really unpredictable.

Specially computer-related stuff with integral mains line noise filters - they DEPEND on being grounded.

Make sure your cables are alright, and that you debalance properly if using it unbalanced.
