AKG C414 Pair with Brass Capsules - $5600
This is a matched pair of vintage AKG C414 Comb mics (the predecessor to the C414 EB) with original CK12 brass capsules, and close serial numbers. The capsules were cleaned by renowned mic technician Klaus Heyne in 2011, and have only been used with the utmost care since then, so they should last for a long time.
The mics have also been serviced within the last year, and were modified to reduce the noise level. A choke and a pair of capacitors were added to block the DC to DC converter noise on the output, as in the C414 EB. And the RF sheilding was improved by adding an adhesive copper lining on the inside over the plastic parts, and removing some of the paint on the inside to get a proper ground connection to the case.

EU buyers have to pay VAT at 20% (i.e. $6720), unless you are VAT registered and based outside the UK. Buyers outside the EU don't have to pay VAT.
