Has anyone tried it? I've heard (mostly over at ax84) that using an LED for biasing negates the need for bypassing with caps. I've tried the LED biasing myself, but never done a side-by-side comparison. Is there truth to this claim, and can it be useful in a G7 circuit?
2: What is the purpose of the 1uF poly in parallel to the bypass 'lytic? I know we're bypassing higher frequencies but I'm accustom to seeing smaller values used in conjunction with large 'lytics.
3: Has anyone experienced the effects of full bypassed VS the partial bypass used in the G7? Is it just there as a remnant of the FB circuit or is a key part of the design.
