i picked up a box of hv caps at a salvage place i've begun to go to..... are mylar or 'met-poly' acceptable for the g9, provided they're of correct capacitance and voltage rating?

If they would work, would they be of poor 'sound' quality or bad dielectric?

edit: just realized that met-poly are metallized poly.... but not surre if they are polypropylene or polyester
 
hi gregcs1,
there shouldn't be a problem using different cap ratings in the voltage tripler circuit for the phantom power. as long C20, C21 and C22 are rated no less than 63V.
