Yes sir...

After 1 year of working on this unit (hmm not so hard) i have finished the G9 preamp... Wauw it sounds great... smiley... On my recontructed Ibanez with pickups from the Stevie ray fender guitar it sound wonderfull...

A friend have some test equipment i can use to test it and it will be done in the next week but the sound I hear is f*ck great...

A big thanks to all her. Never have done it without you.. And Jakob Erland and Jens Ledet from DK.... Jakob you are the man... ;-)

PICS from the unit.. and number 8 is my little new dog, only 2 weeks emil... ;-)

Very nice box Soeren. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

You will have to pay attention how to position the wires from the transformers to not induce humm.

thanks...

I discover some hum and i think it comes from the trafo's like you say.I gonna work on that tomorow... I can't take the smoke from the the tin solder no more today..

Is it very importen that the main trafo's is shielded.. :?:
Hi søren,

Great looking G9.

Where did you get that enclosure, and how did you do the frontpanel layout?
My enclosure is from RS... The cheapest one in this area and the firm that I work in sometimes ordre things from RS so i could get rid of the transport costs.... The frontpanel is made by my father, hehe. He found some old black SENO letters and after we have been printing them on we gave it lacquer 3 times.....

great stuff Sören.
I'm happy knowing it sounds great on Vai-style gtrs too :)

Any specific reasons for the different i-o trannies?
Is in plus position on phase switch signal in phase or out phase?
The word "phase" is a misnomer. The correct term is "polarity" - hence the "+" and "-" signs. If you think about it that way, it'll make sense to you ;).

Peace,
Al.

It sound great with Lundahl and OEP together but i have nothing to be compare to. The unit i a little dark in the sound but when you record it its like a dream.... hehe

When i checked the unit i discover some problemes... ahh not problemes. Puzzles that should be fixed.. When i turn the "Phase" knob to pol. - the sound disapere. The problem is only one of the channels. Someone her have seen this problem?

And i have a little hum on the channels. After i took the pics i placed a center bolt to the 2 toriods and treat out the wires so the didnt cross each other but it didn't help. Can the voltageregulatiores have something to do with that?

mmhh nice box - Seno letters - same way as me...
that dog looks like it need shaving!!!
Did you realise that in the last picture - we all know you were naked taking the photo with the preamp held between your feet!!
The front panel acts a bit like a mirror!!!

OK Al
(Misnomer is unknown word for me)
I ask because it would be logical that in phase position (right polarity) relay is in off position. Here we have + position (cw) when is relay on.

misnomer = a word being used wrongly
