the thing i don't understand is why i get third of mH for 312 and less in general from all

could the Q pot shift the mH value? I'm using a 5k because I was told it'd give me a wider range.

That is strange. It implies either the inductor is wrong or it is in the wrong way round.

The Q pot will not shift the mH or the resonant frequency. It only affects the Q.

A 5K pot will give a wider range but it will only extend the low Q range. It will not raise the Q make them sharper. The highest Q is obtained when the pot is shorted. It the Q pot has a resistor in series you might try reducing its value.

I checked the wires at the bottom and it's been placed accordingly

plus some bands wouldn't work if it was placed incorrectly?

Very strange.  Where did you get the inductor from? I would be tempted to take it out and measure it.

Did you check the Q pot series resistor?

it's alright, I actually love it the way it is right now, after pulling my bones during the fine adjustment by adding caps in parallel

it is similar to the Q of my SSL 4000 E, which i love beyond reason, here's the result: (red being the ssl top band bell and blue the pultec)

Gentle bell shaped boosts often do sound much better than the sharper, harsher, high Q equalisers. The RED EQ is another good example

The important thing is you are happy..
