I have been using an HD160 for about 5 years, mostly on tube gear, it is a very rugged meter electrically. I had blown up a couple of cheaper meters prior to getting the HD160.
I got in on this deal myself, $35 for a spare is a great deal, they were at least $150 new when I bought my original one.
