I have a patient that is blowing BB2604 and LT1513 output drivers like crazy. I think it is because the desk was kept at 80º room temp for a period by a new maintenance head who asked himself, only, "Why keep this room 68º all the time?". I would lose 2 or 3 a year, no biggie. All the sudden a year ago there were 25 across the console. Then, some replaced chips over the year have blown, chips with a much newer date code.
The drivers were tasked to work hard from the design desk, and the pcb is brownish underneath them. I looked into specific IC heat sinks, and thought of my TubeTech fix.
All the TT's blow the round bridge rectifier in the first 5-7 years of life in my experience, so before I install a new unit I heat tape/tiewrap a 1/2"/1.5cm binder clip on them and never have to deal with it.
So I got some baby clips and have them installed in 8 channels. I cut strips of plastic to put down on the mo bo because I'm using this thermal tape first time.
I bend the clips to flatten the bottom for a good fit. They have been in two weeks, nothing fell off, and no chips blown in that section:

Just trying to get another 15,000 hours out of it. . .
