That looks familiar.

I`ve got a lot of those at work( 16 or 24). We don`t use them anymore, but I think it`s some kind og automatic mixer.

Some 15 ++ years old (mine is).

I spotted "7940" on one of the chips - that could be a date code.

Best regards,

Beyerdynamic TR/BV 370 215 006 (x-former?)

TL083CN (J-fet opamps)

MC14528B(dual monostable multivibrator)?

2n3904

2n3906 (both with color coded backs (does this mean gain matching?)

2n4393 metal case

AI-4741-5 (WTF)

Still looking for a schematic...tried to find a user friendly email adress at IRP but was faced with a log and password...

this thing also has a lot of carbon film resistors and tant caps ... I love to make this thing cool.....er... but I need some help from the gurus...

Automatic mixer, there's an entry in the Handbook for Sound Engineers. I had a discarded one which I gutted for parts. That one had a master module with gain reduction metering for all the cards. Not sure how much use you'll get out of it in a studio context, but the Beyer transformers are mic inputs, I believe: 200:45k. Primaries: pins 7/6 & 5/4, Secondary: pins 1/2. 3 is screen. They can be handy for mic pres in a tight space. Not a lot of headroom, but can work well if the levels are right.

Best,

James

I think the Beyerdynamics are 300:47k, and the primary can be wired as 75. I had a pinout diagram, but I sent it to Kubi along with a pair of these. Maybe he'll see this thread and post the link to it.

There is a beyerdynamic datasheet in the transformer meta, but I don't recall if it covers this exact model.
