Must have been a ship,.. probably Chinese,.. wit a Russian crew..

Thanks but that is sE Electronics drilling, not mine ;p Reinstalling and tensioning the diaphragm back may be called a good work maybe ;) I'll take some pics next time...

A few years ago I had picked up a Technics amp from the dump. It was working for a while but then conked-out. I neither have the time to repair anything nor space to store. So, had to be parted out. But on the up side I got a super power transformer and a solid heatsink. However, the amp had a hybrid power stage like the STK series. I was not particularly interested in it but when I unscrewed the two fixing screws, unusually the plastic cover came off and revealed what's inside. This is the first time I have seen such a hybrid power amp module.
