I see that Recording Magazine Reamp uses 600:600

So, I'll stick to that design then :)
 
10k:10k and 600:600 are basically the same thing. The input impedance will depend upon the value of the resistor you terminate the secondaries with. For a line input with modern gear, you want the input impedance to be 10k ohms or more, I'm not sure why so many reamp designs use something around 600 ohms.
