Ordered one of these as they went down to $150 in the US, expected to ship some time in November.

I'm planning on modding it to at the very least upgrade the caps, but I'll likely wait to see how it sounds stock before doing anything.

Does anyone here have any experience with modding these units? Had a thought to maybe try and add a bypass switch as well, but maybe just will make an A/B box separately.

Wow, that's cheap. Where can you get them so cheap? Buy two, I find them really useful as they are, live and in the studio.

Thanks! It really is a good price. Unfortunately no shipping to Germany. Thomann wants 349€ here at the moment, the cheapest offer I saw was 299€. Bummer. How much tax is added on top or is that the final price?

I never heard one face to face with a real one but i recently heard a comparison which was... troublesome to me!
I must say i wasn't able to pick the real one from the KT with this music genre ( which isn't what i do the most but close enough ( except or voice) to what i'm used to work on). I'm not sure i would bother modding it.


I never used a Warm audio but for those who have is it as distorded as in the video? It's the only one i was able to identify without doubt...

I think I've probably watched every comparison video of this 76-kt and I typically can't pick it out from others either. I'm assuming some of that is YouTube compression but also will I hear a difference in a full mix? Probably not.

Why mod? Mostly because it's fun, and there may be some increase in quality to be made by upgrading the caps. But mostly because it's fun and I'll be more attached to the gear if I've altered it
