My reasoning is as follows:
Getting it right in this case is mostly about looking good. Smooth finish, readable from every angle, and a result that's pleasing to the eye...
That is exactly what is expected from a trophy shop...
On the contrary, machine shops equipped with 3D CNC use them mostly for machining and milling. So their skills and ty are more about efficiency, minimum wear of the tools, execution speed, ect... Engraving readable fonts is at most something they do on the side, but not their speciality...
