Hi there,

I am searching for a GR44 relay tube, or a suitable substitute to replace a faulty one on my coil winder....

http://www.shinjo.info/frank/sheets/174/g/GR44.pdf

The one I have had a snapped leg, which I've managed to re-solder quite close to the glass base. With the heat, I am concerned about failure, and would like to replace it.

I know very little about relay tubes, so any thoughts or observations  would be very helpful.

Cheers!

Stewart

Maybe these guys: http://www.surplustraders.net/specs/gf416.php

..when the tube eventually fails, it may want to be disposed of properly - contains Tritium (H3), though probably not in really nasty amounts..

Maybe take a look at:

Hi Jakob,

Thanks for the suggestions - I contacted those surplus trader guys last night and they are selling ALL of those tubes as a single batch. They won't split or sell single tubes.

Scary!  ;)

Hi,

ER32A looks like an equivalent.

if you can scare up some deuterium, i'll bet north korea would be happy to take the spares off your hands  :-X

Thanks for all the ideas.

Can anyone get the Ciel site site to work?

I can see the pages, but there I can't add anything to the shopping basket. It is the same with both Safari and Firefox.

That Ciel company wants you to register and open a business account with them before they will give you any prices and let you order anything from them  :-\
