Low-pass and High-pass filters | What frequencies would you choose?

Hi Guys,

I'm working on a revision of my Butterworth LP & HP filters for the 500 series and I might go with 12 positions rotary switch for the frequency selection.

Out of curiosity, what frequencies would you choose? 12 for the Low-pass and 12 for the High-pass.

One switch for both HPF and LPF or two switches? If only one switch HP and LP need to sound right together.

Two independent switches.

It depends on how steep the filters are. If they are single pole I would space them evenly from about 40Hz -600Hz. If they are three or four pole I would space them evenly from about 20Hz-300Hz.

Both filters are two pole.

The two pole filters on the ADT consoles work very well in practice with frequency ranges (continously) 0-300 Hz for the high pass and off-2 khz for the low pass.
