Mackie VLZ4 1642 - mods? EQ in/out switch?

Looking at anyone who's done any improvements (not "throw it in the trash" type chat here thanks!) to the latest Mackie series, in my case the 1642. I haven't opened it up yet but my first thoughts were whether I could simply implement the (missing) eq/in out switch without too many complications.

Any other user mods are of interest, the desk itself is great for routing and pretty clean - just wondering if there's any other cool tricks out there.

the new mackie mixer (VLZ3/4) was surprisingly good, the mic pre is nice!

I have mixing session last week, and love the vocal sound. I ask the client what mic pre did he use,  and I was surprise me that he use mackie VLZ3, I wish I have the schematic
