ha, I'm not sure what the exchange rate is in kwatloops, is that a breakfast cereal?
and I never get tired of knob gags:)

I cheated a little bit, after pointlessly wasting a lot of time and money on molding and casting again, I sought assistance from a friend who works at a signmakers and he finally made me a bunch with their gear  8)

the finishing probably requires a tutorial tho, ha!
I'll probably end up just using 2 for my nv73s as the buffing etc must have taken me 40 mins each

But usually, you make a silicone mould and then cast the parts?
What materials do you use to make the mould, and what do you use to cast the parts with?

hey Jarno, yea... as I said above. I gave up on that bit.
the results you get without injection/vacuum tools are not really worth the effort. even the most expensive plastics with best air release properties still come out pretty lame. its not great on stuff this small/detailed.
the plastics and molding process really is a whole 'nother game.

maybe i'll document my mutant knob failures elsewhere:)

EDIT: ok i uploaded some :)

For clarification,

Kwatloops are a reference to an old Star Trek episode...
And I don't know the exchange rate. ;D

But that's a pretty good job kepeb.
And the failed ones are at least entertaining. :)

yea 5 Quatloos or 2 strips of latinum each.
I'll have them beamed directly to your quarters  ;D

Quatloos! is THAT how you spell that?  Of course! You're right ;D

But seriously, you could probably sell a bunch of those...if it's worth your efforts of course.

They do look quite nice.

Are you thinking about it? ???
