Mec31 preamp

This is my first DIY pre and Also let me mention I’m not your everyday soldering person but I have soldered a few things together.
However I’m having some issues! I ordered the VP28 Litz and the Mec31 pre.
I built the Mec31 first because it seem easier and fewer parts to solder. Once completed I connected it to test it and Nothing. I got very discouraged. Gave up for maybe a day or 2 then moved on to the VP28. The VP had soooo many parts I thought I was going to get it wrong as well but sure enough I got it right! It works like a charm.
My question here is, is there a way I can either test the board or send power to it without plugging it in the rack?
I really want to use my Rec31 pre but I’m not sure what I’ve done wrong for it not to work.
Please help me! lol

Did you do the preflight resistance checks in the build guide? Any LEDs lighting up?
