The profile link in another thread made me think of the following.

Maybe the group can come up with specs for a tube microphone PS transformer M6 core.

I am thinking two secondarys one at say 150 AC 5 or so ma and the other 12V at 1 amp. This should be enought for a stereo pair of tube microphones.

Another PS could be for a stereo tube pre with enought current to drive 6DJ8 type tubes (higher fil current than 12a-7) and voltage needed for the B+ after filtering >250 VDC.

The primary should be able to be wired for would wide use.

I think two custom transformers could cover alot of the basic tube builds

Good idea, Gus!

What about this as a small change: instead of a single 12V winding, how about two 6V windings. They could be combined in series for 12V or parallel for 6V allowing more options on the tubes?

Just a thought!

HTH!
