Cmuller, thanks for listing the dimensions. And thanks for starting this in the first place. Hope it's successful.

Looks like the 76mm diameter in #4 is for the round basket rather than the body shaft.

Here's another type you might be able to get. I had it ready yesterday, but didn't want to flood your thread with all my posts.  ;)
It's 55 mm (diameter) x 190 mm, so a little longer and a little slimmer than #1, but not as slim as #2.
This one has two switches, one of which could be turned into a cardiod/omni switch. (Not everyone wants switches, though.)

Could be close in size to #7, actually. (The one you aren't sure of.)

Another one "missing" is the slimmest or narrowest (=small diameter) and long Apex 460 style. This one might be interesting for those who want to do the famous C12-ish build.
46 mm (headbasket also) x 240 mm

Maybe numbers 9 and 10 to be?

OK, the Chinese connections are hazy at best to most, including me. My earlier post had a link to Shanghai ShuaiYin Electronics. However, from what I understand, iSK is from the Shengke/Ningbo TongXin group. But the OP surely knows more than I about this. (Some of the bodies are the same as those from ShuaiYin, though.)
Anyway, more to the point is that Shengke/TongXin seems to have some reputation for better electronic parts (than usual for Chinese mics) in mics like iSK. Not much use if you only use the shell LOL, but comforting to know anyway. Also, the capsules don't seem bad at all. As a matter of fact, if I'm not mistaken, the WGT C12-style capsule from the recent groupbuy here can be traced back to the same company or branch. Good to know, too, no?

To the OP, if you want me to remove all this info, please let me know.

Oh I see, you said that I might be able to get...I thought you meant that you had a company to get those from....my bad

Thanks for the info on the capsule!  Good to know that it originated from the company I am working with.

So I guess a new question for everyone is what works best:

1.  Mic minus the capsule and pcb

or

2. Complete mic (however will most likely have iSK logo on it)

I can also look into having a supply of cases, however they would be aluminum.  Most complete mics come with shockmount and case already.

I am not sure as to what exactly everyone is looking for so basically those are the 2 options to choose from.

Side note:  With the models listed above by micaddict, I will see what I can source for those.  I think there are some new mics coming out with the 460 style body and can check into having that available.

Thanks so much for offering this.

Personally, I'm interested in mic bodies minus capsule, minus pcb and minus PSU, minus logo.  But with shockmount and case.  (Wooden box cases would be great.)

I'm guessing people here will generally not want a finished mic with iSK logo -- we are building mics here.  Sometimes modding...

Depends on price too.  For example, if the complete mic is only $20 more, then why not, maybe the capsule is worth $20.  Except no one wants that logo probly.... and takes some effort to get rid of the logo.  So some might like it, some not...

Let us know about:
1) wooden box available?
2) what other mics are shipping with these capsules -- I have no experience with iSK -- can we get a couple capsule samples in hand for testing?
3) pricing.

I originally posted this with the intent of no logo, in that I thought if I am building my own mic, why do I want some chinese brands logo on it.  If enough complete mic's were wanted then I can look at no logo, but would be 50+ I believe (can confirm later)

1) I will check about wooden boxes, at the moment I know aluminum ones are available.

2) I can not confirm 100% other than I know KEL microphones are manufactures from them, however here is a thread from geearslutz with someone I am sure we all have heard of who was going to distribute these awhile back.  He made a trip there and found some interesting things out:

http://www.gearslutz.com/board/low-end-theory/533030-isk-roxdon-microphones-anyone.html

3) I am waiting on a confirmed price for the microphones minus the capsule and pcb, when it arrives I will post it along with complete mic pricing for groupdiy members.

I Agree with your intent

With all them different bodies to choose from we may have a luxury problem. 50+ would be for one body model I presume.
And then there's capsules, shockmounts, psu's maybe (with or without multipattern rotary switch), wooden boxes etc. etc. etc.
It'll be tough to see the forest for the trees.

Then again, we're still in the feeler stage, so why not exhaust every single possibility.  :p

I see the mics in post 1 are in one overview now. Nice.

Interestingly, that TM-78(b) or #10 is under "new microphones" on one site I saw and under "discontinued" on another.
And neutral, so to speak, here:
http://www.iskmic.com/isktm78.htm

The bodies on #8 and #9 have a strongish taper and are smaller than a U87 to begin with, I think. Those who have the recent groupbuy U87 pcb (plus there may be a Chinese-made one in the works; see the relevant feeler) may want to take notice of this.
There's one here that has the 67/87 headbasket (sort of), too, albeit with a straight body that looks roomier:
http://www.iskmic.com/iskbm5100.htm
BTW,here's the same body, but with cylindrical head (and extra polar patterns):

The TM-76 amd TM-78 have the window, too, and those are tube mics so you can see the tube glow.
BTW after a diy paint job (if there are logos and stuff to be removed, let's say in a less than 50+ scenario), you could cover the window with a homemade badge. Or leave it there if you like it, of course.
Just thinking out loud.
No text or engravings would be preferable, naturally.

About the capsules..........

There was a groupbuy (for a dual membrane CK12 type) in this thread:
http://www.groupdiy.com/index.php?topic=45458.0
There have been requests for a second buy, but EEM01 said he got no reply from the supplier.

So here's the WGT site:
http://www.wgt1979.com/en/products.php?tid=28

And here's the Ningbo Tongxin one:
http://www.nbmic.com/products.asp?id=102

Looks familiar, doesn't it? (And the Tongxin's seem to have the capsule holder, post and disc included.)
There's a K47, a K67 and a CK12 type (more a 67 without center screw actually), all three in either cardiod only (front membrane) or multipattern (dual).

Microphone Parts has them (dual) with individual frequency plots BTW.

Interested in 2 x 8 bodies, depending on price. As someone earlier also pointed out, having the switches as part of the purchase would be a plus.

#8 seems to be the same size as the MXL 2010 so I think the U87 boards should fit...
