Mixing different types of EI lams

Hi, is it dangerous to mix various core lams made of different materials? Like mixing an m6 grain oriented with standard steel?

Some transformers do use a mix of lams , interleaved ,
I dont think theres any danger to be worried about .
 
non grain is usually 19 mil so it stacks quicker and with a better K factor,

it does not change over time as much as grain (magnetic aging)

it takes 21 gauss instead of 18 so less saturation for the same size core but less inductance for the same amount of turns,

and it handles square wave better if you like to dime out that marshall

Fender and Marshall use the cheap stuff in their outputs i do believe,

grain is not that much dollar wise depending on where you get it,

grain will save power due to less heat from core loss,
