Modern replacement for 2N4249 transistor ?

I try to fix an MCI JH-100 Transport PSU and looking for a replacement for the 2N4249

Didn't spend too-too much time digging up a schematic; found one for the JH-110B. Probably safe to assume it's "close enough"?

Page 156 contains the power supply schematic. The only 2N2429 there seems to be part of the over-current sense circuitry, so probably nothing too-too special needed there. BC556, 2N5401, just about anything "jellybean" should work fine.

Schematic looks virtually identical, the 2N2429 has the same role there.

I'm sure a lot of different transistors would work for those duties, don't need to specifically be one from the cross reference,
like Khron said you just need a transistor that works fine for the same role
