I'm impressed.
Finally got 'round to getting a pair of the MXL omni caps, and man are they smooth, flat and quiet. I detect no top-tilt at all. A real bargain.
Kingkorg - did you ever measure these guys (the omnis)?
I'm holding my breath because I've only built one mic so far, so don't know how well they'll match - I've heard they can be very inconsistent.
It's interesting that MicParts goes on about how much better their upgrade card caps are, but make no claims for the superiority of the omnis - only that they offer them.
