the album is called People, Hell & Angels

I hope they have not crushed the life out of it with 'modern' mastering techniques.

Valleys Of Neptune is the album that was released 2010, THIS is the new one that was released last week.

mastering ctually sounds quite good from what i have heard on the radio,

William Clark of Music Enthusiast Magazine wrote, "Between the downright fantastic music, to the production quality and the attention to detail, this new album is something any established Hendrix fan should easily be able to get into and passionately enjoy time and time again". Allmusic gave the album three and a half stars, saying, "People, Hell and Angels certainly isn't the place to start your Hendrix collection, but collectors will surely want to hear this". BBC Music also gave the album a positive review, saying "This latest collection offers a tantalising glimpse of how Hendrix's genius might have progressed"
