The 33609/2254 is not an easy or inexpensive build. I'd recommend to everyone interested to search and re-read the IJR and other threads on the matter. I just don't want to get a bunch of PCBs made and have Fabio go through the effort and no one complete the project.

I kind of feel like this is what happened with the Forssell Opto comp, because there were many options on the board and even a thing or two (like makeup gain), that still needed to be worked out. It just seems that projects that aren't completely worked out won't really get built.

And honestly, I'd love to build a 33609, but it'd be no easy task...

just wanted to mention that.

Howa bout a T4b board?

Scenaria had some made.
Maybe he wouldn't mind you borrowing his artwork.
Where is that guy, anyway?
Probably new idenity, selling stuff and buying a bigger tank.
haha you guys like options huh??
Please, please make me a preamp that has every gain topology (solid state and tube) with multiple transformer and electronic balancing options. Thanks !!! :guinness: :sam: :green: :thumb:

This just came to mind. I would love a two or four channel summing box. I've got a couple working Neve output stages that would be great for make-up gain. A nice PCB with PCB mount switches and relays or something would be excellent.

Say I have a couple mics on a guitar cab and only want to use one track. I hate having to go through my board to sum the two. A nice outboard summer would be fantastic.

CJ,

All I need to make gerbers is a PDF with the T4B layout in scale... can you send me some?

A very late arrival that just came to mind:

variable HPF & LPF - simple utility circuits, always handy to have a few around. And easy to put a few on vero-board, but let's just suggest it here as well.

As suggested by Jakob:

I have another idea...
Some of the follwoing boards
BA182C, BA211, BA205 to compliment your BA283s

I agree: BA284, B182C, B205, B211.
BA284 is the most interesting IMHO: you can make a 1290 or a 1073 (1063, 1064, 1065, 1066, 1067, 1069, 1070, 1072 too?). Other boards could be breadboards cause they are very simple.
I think we could find cheap alternatives for rotary switches: russian rotary on ebay.

When I?ll get two working BA283 with original traffos (I already have carnhill VTB9045 [10468] and wait for « special L01166 » group order), I?ll try to insert BA284. I?ll post a wiring diagram à la Cayacosta cause I think this project is tough because of wiring between cards and switches, right?

I vote for a PRR Vari Mu (a la Kent S.)! I've been waiting for someone to come up with some killer PCBs!
