??
Never even heard about them!!
Where are they from?
Jakob E.
They're from the same box like the Neumnann OA10s or NTP M100Cs I have - and there are other nice blue NTP modules (M900 - I think - have to look again). Must have been used in any broadcast aplication.

Will post some pics ...

First of all, here is a picture:
NTP-M500B+M100C.jpg

on the left side there are two M100Cs, with printed pinout on its side. the others are the M500B VCAs: same housing, same pinout-layout - but only 9 pins instead of 11 (9 & 11 are missing).
Could it possibly be a rebranded Neumann VCA101? I never heard of - or can find any information about - NTP VCA's..?

How is the pinout?

Jakob E.
the Neumann VCA101 would have 7 pins, the NTP has 9. the dimensions are different. and I don't know about any Neumann non microphone OEM products.

looking forward

Bent Jorgensen from dag2000 answered my mail about this modules:

Here is a data sheet for the M100.
The other modules were never sold as separate items and no "external" documentation is available for those modules.

so no more info

the datasheet for the M100 is the same I've had (and posted) before, but english language:

If anyone has info on those, it would also be nice. I think it´s a balanced line receiver... Discreet? transformer coupled? Input impedance? Don´t know...
Looks like they are mumetal shielded.

pinouts are:

1 input-
2 input +
3 screen/chassis
5 output
6 +V
7 0v
8 -V

There are four of them in a board with four nice lundahl output trannies, LL5008.

Let me know if you think that the pic is too big and I´ll resize it.

Jakob,

What units were these modules used in?

I still don't know. They are unused spare parts. I've checked all NTP schematics I have, and didn't found any using this parts. But they must have been used for something, and I would like to use them

rafafredd,
what kind of board is this ?
you have the pinouts, that's more then I have

I think this is a four channel output board, probably subgroups, but it´s digitally controlled...

On the schem it says "NTP module, 5k", so I think it´s a balanced line receiver, with an input impedance of 5kohms.

Hi,

The M500 is used in the VCA module 184-140B which is part of an autofader system with the 185-350 control module (I have the schematics, I can scan it if someone is interested).

Btw, does anyone have 277-400 peakmeter service manual?

Jakob, thanks for 179-160 pdf.

Regards,
Milan

Hi,

I placed temporarily a few scanned picture of the 184-140 VCA module datasheet here:

Can someone host them (Jakob?)?

The other modules were never sold as separate items

NTP M-900 log amp module has been used at least in one Tore Seem mixer that I serviced long time ago. It made the log scale of peak programme meter in that mixer. The mixer was also full of M100 op-amps.
