Thanks so much for the Dissection! I wonder if one can wind the coils with the same wire gauge and turns but using a nowadays commercial lam and still keep more or less the same transformer behaviour.
I want to build a copy of an Altec 436, or better, EMI RS124, but where I live, to pay for a Lundahl or Sowter Trasformer is nearly impossible.
Do you guys know some simmilar L lam?

Just for the record, I successfully disassemble the transformer and repaired it.  Luck of mine that one of the wires coming out of the primary winding broke just before entering deep in the winding, So Im very happy.
