I've discoverd the culprit, it was me! I was measuring my voltages incorrectly. I has also put in a square bridge rectifier which has a different pin-out  to the round types. All good now though and all test point voltages are measuring perfectly  .

Now to mount the front panel pcb and connect the XLR inputs/outputs.
