If there ever was an album that would introduce someone to mariachi music. It would be this one.
Linda really does the music of her heritage justice. She sings so good. Plus the musicians on the album really know it well.

There are so many wonderful music genres from south of the border....especially these days if one listens to regional spanish language radio stations that play music.

Yes, I still listen to radio from time to time.

So I was driving back from a concert that was a good 2 hours away. I went because my buddies were playing as part of a festival.
Anyway as usual, I stream triple J radio in my car when I can. For hours long drives, this is just awesome.
Anyway caught the tail end of this song and had to pull over. I had to know right away who, when, etc. Spent the next few minutes doing the google on my phone and once I had it, played it over and over and over.

My parents were from the Great Depression and WW2 era, so what they listened to on the record player is imbedded in my Boomer memory. Dad was a big fan of Spike Jones and I am as well.

For some reason, this one came to mind tonight.
