Apologies for being me-me-me but here's my latest production (and my studio).

Something good and positive for hip hop.
And mixed by Hugo (who made the Lisson Grove Altec compressor).

What was I doing in 1983? Learning to play bass, trying to keep up, many flubs and clams.

Let me know if this link is bad, first time to post an MP3.

Heart Live in Passiac City [26-1-1979] - Full Show

One of the two Fisher brothers (Roger... later scraped out of the band by the girls), built a delay line flanger from a kit I published in 1976. I recall in the late '70s taking his phone call when he asked me if I knew who Heart was  (after dreamboat annie album was already charting) I pretended to play it cool, but I knew who they were.  ::)

This article/link even mentions my flanger kit... http://www.woodytone.com/2009/12/04/roger-fishers-barracuda-gear-and-other-tidbits/

So I am not making this sh__ up.    My $39 Phoenix Systems kit flanger was used on Barracuda recording.  8)

Loving this guy Edmar Castaneda. The Jaco type bass you can get out of his instrument and the 12/4 tone cycle thing...very cool!

Also wicked is how his left hand does not have nails so to compensate for the brighter tone when needing that hand for lead, he plays at the 'bridge'.

Funny.. a friend of mine's band got the power cut off for playing "ring of fire" too fast (disco version  ). I find on google,  others had the same idea. It actually sounded OK to me.

Getting shut down was not the worst thing to happen, we were vastly outnumbered by red necks that night, so not a good reception for his original music.
