(Potentiometer) shaft adapters

Do you not get problems with eccentricity? The centre knob jamming against the outer knob?
I edited my post with a photo of the coupler I'm speaking of to make it clear. No eccentricity problems as long as the coupler is long enough and cut accurately on each side. If there's any slop in the channel on either side it makes it a PITA to align the shafts perfectly.

Again, this is what I was referring to as a reducing shaft coupler:

I could probably help you out if it can be solved with a lathe. It sounds like you have a 6mm pot shaft that needs to be 3mm on a part of the shaft?

I could also make you an adapter, but I guess it depends on the application whether there is room for it...

Similar extender adapter was also used on Amek CIB gain switch. I do not know who the supplier was. I think your best bet is Disco Volante. He has the lathe and will do it at no time.
