We got the news today in the choir that George passed away. He was singing just a few weeks ago, and reading the prokeminon in church slavonic like always. Memory Eternal! He went out on his own terms, no more needles!
At sea, land, and air his long list of inventions keep us all safe and rockin' out.

For those that don't know George was a giant in this industry. He authored the Phono Reproduction chapter in the Audio Cyclopedia V2. He was a phono pickup designer for Stanton. He was chief engineer at Fairchild and designed the Fairchild cutter head. After he retired he figured out how to rebuild Neumann cutter heads and worked with Al Grundy servicing cutter heads. He knew more about disk recording and reproduction as anyone ever did. I can't hold a candle to that.
