A friend of mine have a RE 201 analyzer for sale. I tried to find some info on it but i didn't get that much. Does anyone have any experience with this machine?

It's a BIG stand-alone analyzer/generator with a CRT display. Made in Dennmark. 2 ch balanced in/out. Measures level, THD, TIM, phase and some other stuff. It looks cool. He let me borrow it for a couple of weeks before I make up my mind about buying it.

Should I go for it or not? What do you think?

If it's useable, working, and not too expensive I'd say go for it. I recently saw one for cheap - no manual or keyboard - in a local shop (brink.dk, their copenhagen department - they may have it still)

Seen a couple of them at E-bay with and without the pc/gpib interface/software!
RE-201 is just the mainframe, you'll need a pc with software and a interface to get it to work I think! Mainframe use to go for 200 USD at E-bay!

There is one version that needs a computer and stuff to work but the one I have (not bought it yet, only testing) works as a stand alone unit. I'm almost convinced, I just need to spend some more time with it before I pay the guy.
