Hello i just wanted to know what you guys think of these babies, im recaping them mostly with Panasonic FM and FC on the hard to find measures. I also used bigger values on some parts for better freq. response. I replaced the Poly caps on the EQ section with WIMA MKS4 caps, this are hot!. I want to thank my friend Roginator for helping me do this. THANKS DAMIR!!!!!!! Sorry for the low quality pics, let me know what you think.

What those wires across axials do?

what axials you have used?

can you compare sound before and after recaping?

..i'm thinking about to recap one module, but don't know how will sound change.

Thanks

nicely done:), that is the other leg, he didnt use axials but radials
i'm recappen a JH536 also but i'm gonna use the original Siemens NOS caps and one value of roederstein wich i luckely found in the USA wich are on route now ...2300 caps *sigh*
i dont want to loose the typical MCI sound so i dont use modern caps, but i've heard good things of those FM and FC caps in general for audio use but i dont consider them "better"sounding.

Well i love the sound of Panasonic Caps, i use them on almost everything i recap, the other thing i like about them is that for instance the FM caps are rated 7000 hours at 105 degrees so this things will last for a long time, i dont want to recap it again for at least 15-20 years or more if possible. FC caps i believe are rated 5000 or 6000 hours at 105 degrees, so they are pretty much the same thing. I dont think that im actually loosing the MCI sound, i believe the sound of the MCI lies on other things like the design, the opamps used the type of pre-amps it has, the summing bus, the transformers, and also caps but i think that the difference will not be very great, the FMs sound amazing and i prefeer to use this kind of caps since they will last longer, i will have a better freq responce and less noise. Thanks for your replies :)
