Replacing ne5534's with doa's

Hey Stace - I haven't put in any 2520's yet (Im still waiting to receive them) but I installed direct outs on the first eleven channels using the mother board and output cards i got from you. the first 4 channels are switchable between pre and post eq using the echo-send-channel-selector button. the other 7 are all pre eq. I also got a 4.5 amp acopian power supply for the +/-15v and its much quieter. next thing im going to work on is the mic pres. Im hoping they become 312ish after replacing the 5534 with a 2520, we'll see.

Im still wondering about a couple things:
-What's the purpose of c4, and is it still necessary after the ic1, q1, and q2 are gone? I assume ill still need it, but im still curious about its function.
-I am still trying to figure out the power supply bypassing caps. on the 312 schemo they are 12.5uf on each rail. in a recent thread about a 325 to 312 conversion, peter purpose recomended changing them to 220uf. Mine uses .1uf on each rail for the ic's, but those are in parallel with a bunch of other caps in different parts of the circuit. I was thinking i could remove c6 and c7 and put the power pins of the 2520 at c8 and c9.

Any documentation on this? I'm getting a 501 up and running and looking to do exactly this. Any additional info/drawings/parts you used etc.... much appreciated!
