The UFX is a nice platform to which I can keep a control channel or two and deviate on the others. 

Some owners say "noticeable" improvement after changes around the clock source.

I'm not gonna lie. That design makes me incredibly happy. (As a TI guy...)

Those PGA2500's are $10 a piece (or they were when it was built). You'd struggle to make a digitally controllable mic pre that could compete.

@ Rochey: You should see the Direct Out Andiamo family then - also equipped with some TI stuff.

The arrangement on the PCB looks similar - no wonder: The Andiamo is also manufactured by IMM.
The Link seems to be Stephan Flock who also designed a few things for RME.

The PCM 4104 / 4204 are getting a lot of use 
Happy owner of two Andiamos here.

Do these changes on the clock just mean a change (good/worse/just different)?
Are the reports based on syncing the UFX to an external clock?
