Rode Classic project

I have an original Rode Classic microphone that i have modded with a Beeznee M7 capsule and BV 08 transformer.

Whilst this has transformed the microphone significantly i am turning my attention to the 6072 valve that is currently a GE brand which i have heard if quite clean . If there is anything i would like to now change with this mic it the actually a little clean/ bright sounding.

Do any members here have suggestions of a valve brand that might have a little more color in a good way.

How big a difference was the capsule? I have a Classic II that have considered modding. It can be overly bright at times.

The capsule made a big difference. Much smoother .
