Too bad the availability is so poor for this part. I would love to make a 500 Series card of this preamp.
Would you be in for a Moby repro? This could make this unobtainium part available for DIYers working on this preamp, but it will only happen if enough folks are willing to join in. So far, sadly, it seems to be crickets.
Yeah, I would be in for a couple of them even if it is just close enough to a gourd.

Well I am working on a 500 format version and I plan to share the whole design and gerbers with the community here for free ...
So if there's enough interested for the output transformers, you're just a Lundahl (easily sourced) away from the preamp

It can absolutely be done, it’s no biggie especially at this point of the project
Great! That may also be a way to wrangle some extra interest from those who are looking to fill more 51X slots. There are even less options now that it appears the Don Classics modules are history.
What is the gain switch required for this? 2deck, 7 position rotary?

I would be in for some transfo too. The price would define how many i would order, 4 would be a minimum i think (if price is not through the roof) ideally i would like 8 of them.

Maybe you should have a look at the previous pages .. you'd read MOQ for the transformers is 50 units and that JMan as a NOS unit available he'd send to Moby for cloning

From isa110 schem it is a 2 decks 12 positions rotary (1 is unused/blank) for mic gain.
About the transfo, i'm almost 100% sure it's used in the Amek 9098 and derivative gear too. It open to a number of possible circuits to explore other than Focusrite's one imho.

My schematics here are nearly 1:1 the console / standalone pre, especially concerning the first stages. So it uses only 7 pos of a bank, 5 of the other, IIRC.
The grayhill switch was approx 50€ a piece last time I checked.
