Nice,
Mod is for the 2001, did you get any problems with that. (or are the 01 and 03 the same?? )

Would like to see the notes.

2001 and 2003 are largely the same with one big difference...

The 2003 has a 3-micron 797 audio single-diaphragm capsule, the 2001 has a 6-micron Shanghai capsule.

The difference is very much in the 2003's favour: significantly reduced HF lift around 10kHz, smoother extension at both ends of the spectrum. -If you were going to mod either mic, make it the 2003. -the 2001 can be greatly improved, making it a very usable microphone, the 2003 actually becomes a very GOOD microphone with the Royer mod.

Cool!

Unfortunately I did not have 5-pin male socket so had to give up an idea of a tube this time. I wanted to use one Nuvistor with some BJTs.

Congratulations!

[quote author="buttachunk"]yeah, the mic is built with a cinemag DB trannie and monster cable cable. just have to test it. :guinness:

wavebourn; you may try to find a neutrik 5 pin make xlr jack (for cables)-- remove the outer housing (just use the round disc with the xlr pins, it should fit into the mic, replacing the 3 pin disc).

Is the 2003 still shipping, and still fitted with 797 capsules? They change these all the time, so I'm asking.
